In 1699 Philippe des Prez was awarded the farm. He was originally from Kortryk in French Flanders.
After his death, the farm is sold
In 1727 to Peter Booyens, a Dutchman of Blokzijl in Overijssel.
In 1745 he sold to Jacob Naudé (Jnr) whose father Jacob Naudé (Snr) was from Berlin in Prussia
In 1766 he sold to Johann Franz Ophausen of Prussian Minden
In 1768 he sold to Francois du Toit from Soetendal
Son Stephanus becomes owner after his parents' death
In 1828 he gives part of the farm to his son Daniel Bartolomeus le Roux
Stephanus Abraham inherits the farm and he leaves it to son Jacobus Johannes le Roux
In 1842 son Francois Daniël du Toit inherits the farm
In 1917 Pietie John Malan (the Executive Manager at Rhodes Fruit Farms) buy Klipvlei
1941 Anna Malan Rossouw and her husband Louis Jordan Theodoris inherits Klipvlei
Theodoris dies in 1965, Anna passes away in 2004
Daughter Rachelle and husband Chris Crous live at Klipvlei and sell to Ceramic Matters - 2011
Architect Simone Mimony – a prisoner of war - Designed and made all the large pots along the driveway and the fountain in front of the house.
